ISCP welcomes Una Power to our team

Irish Senior Citizens Parliament is thrilled to announce a new member of its team. Una Power has joined us this week as our Head of Communications and Policy. Una will be working to deepen ISCP’s policy bank and strengthen our role in advocating for our members’ needs.

Following her degree in Politics and German at UCD, Una began her career as a Communications officer with Women for Election. Since then she has worked as a Policy and Communications Advisor to Catherine Martin TD, has been elected as a County Councillor, and was made Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council in 2020. She is currently finishing her Masters in Public Policy in UCD.

Speaking on Una’s appointment, CEO Sue Shaw said “We are excited to see our ISCP team grow and to be joined by Una Power. Una will bring a real zeal to the role and will prove a tremendous asset in building our policy base and communications profile.”

Una added “I am delighted to have joined the team and I am looking forward to meeting and working with our members. Right now I am focused on getting our Budget 2022 submission ready and look forward to putting our goals at the heart of government policy making.”
